During our recent stay at Douneside House, we experienced a blend of luxury and value that pleasantly surprised us. The cottage apartment we chose offered ample space with a separate living room, equipped with a fridge, electric kettle, and microwave-ideal for families like ours. The peaceful grounds provided ample opportunities for leisurely strolls, while the restaurant in the main building impressed with a taster menu that balanced quality and cost effectively. Room service for our daughter, who was unwell, was appreciated, although it may have incurred an additional charge. The indoor swimming pool was a delightful remedy after a long day, complemented by the warm ambiance of open fires. The friendly service and cleanliness of the facilities reflected attention to detail, making Douneside House a wise choice for both comfort and value in your travel plans.
